James’s was passionate about fundraising and organising events that pulled people together whether it was the trailwalker, village fete, wine tasting, Royal Parks half or the London marathon.
Whatever he did, he did it with energy and enthusiasm, he motivated, he chivvied, he cracked (awful) jokes and he put an arm around any sagging shoulder when it was needed.
As testament to his memory and to raise money for BRIGHT Cancer Care, whom we came to know through James’s amazing oncologist Dr Tony Dhillon, a walk was planned from Dell Quay back to Milland near our home.
The event was an incredibly special day with his many colleagues, friends and family pulling together to succeed in raising over £16,666 for the charity. Thank you to everyone for their incredibly generous support, James would have loved it all.
