Losing a loved one to cancer is never easy, so we are so grateful when relatives raise money for our charity in their honour. Jo Woodfield and her late husband Chris Woodfield were extremely grateful for the treatment they received under BRIGHT trustee Professor Nariman Karanjia and wanted to raise money for a charity that supported his pioneering work.

On the 6th October, over 150 of Chris’s family, friends and work colleagues joined Jo at the #Getwoodfieldinspired event to celebrate his life and to raise money for BRIGHT who’s mission is to purchase new equipment for a range of GI and HPB cancer treatments. Nearly £15,000 was raised including a donation of £2,500 from the Mace Foundation’s match funding scheme which allows employees to nominate to a chosen charity.
