BRIGHT Cancer Care are raising monies for the purchase of a Hover matt. This allows caregivers to safely lift patients who have fallen without getting a lift team. The matt inflates to lift patients from the floor to bed or stretcher height in a supine position, maximising patient comfort and minimising the risk of injury to both the patient and caregiver. 

The Hover Matt itself would be used for at least 5 patients per day as most are sedated. It will make a difference to workflow and health staff presently we have had 2 spinal injuries and 2 wrist injuries from sliding patients in the last two years. 

The cost of this piece of equipment is £6,400
