CITRuS Project led by Dr Alexandra Stewart

CITRuS is a study looking at symptoms in bowel cancer patients. Most cancer follow-ups focus on checking that the cancer hasn’t returned. While this is very important, it doesn’t examine how the treatment may affect a patient’s quality of life and whether different treatments have different impacts. The aim of this trial is to find out whether patients find it easy to use electronic data collection to assess and report their symptoms after treatment. Hopefully this will lead us to develop ways to manage these symptoms for future patients and more importantly tell us the best time to deliver these treatments to patients.
